All UF Whitney Laboratory alumni, families and friends can symbolically adopt a washback cared for at the Sea Turtle Hospital at UF Whitney Laboratory now through October 31. When you make your transaction, you will get the chance to specify the name you would like to appear on your washback adoption certificate.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY CERTIFICATE?
Once you complete your transaction, you will receive an email to the email address you specify with a PDF certificate attachment within 24 hours to one business day.
IS THERE A MINIMUM GIFT AMOUNT?
Yes, you must make a gift of $1 or more to symbolically adopt a washback and receive a personalized certificate.
CAN I SYMBOLICALLY ADOPT MULTIPLE WASHBACKS?
Yes, but only if you make multiple transactions. Only one washback certificate will be emailed per transaction. If you'd like to make a larger gift for more adoptions please contact Jessica Long, jessicalong@whitney.ufl.edu.
WILL MY CONTRIBUTION BE TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes, you will receive a tax receipt via email after you make a gift.

Washbacks are this year’s sea turtle baby hatchlings that have made it out to the line of Sargassum seaweed, over 50-100 miles in the ocean! With fall storms and strong ocean currents and winds they are pushed all the way back onto the beach and need our help to survive. They used all their energy for that big swim!
